I went through several bottles before finding the Pigeon brand! Initially I was looking into purchasing the evenflo glass bottle but I found these and decided to try them out. I wish i would have started off with them as they are glass and I don't have to worry about plastics. started with the small wide glass neck 5.4 oz. I loved that they were glass, the nipple was softer than any other bottle I have tried. All the other nipples form avent evenflo dr browns are hard compared to these. I will be trying the silicone glass bottle next.
My daughter was using mason jar bottles, and although the nipple was labeled as "slow," it actually flowed more quickly, and because of the shape of the nipple, her latch was not very good. Her nursing abilities suffered as a result. Pigeon nipples make the transition from bottle to breast easier by resolving these problems.
My ebf baby loves this brand when he takes a bottle. He took onto the nipples immediately with no problem. They also promote a good latch so I don't have to worry about any troubles with breastfeeding occurring. Makes it so much easier and convenient knowing he will happily take a bottle if I can't be with him. The nipple is very soft and smooth. Love the glass bottles :) We do use the slowest flow as well as pace feed to mimic breastfeeding as much as possible.
The only bottles that my baby will take and transitions great between nursing and this bottle. Tried multiples brands before this one… she took it immediately. Highly recommend.
With other bottles my baby was not getting a good latch and or was collapsing the nipple. I haven’t had any of those issues since switching to these bottles. I have the glass and the PPSU versions.
